"All 189's could do well ... very good weight class for us." Well this certainly was true as all 189's won at least two matches! All three Maine semi-finalists wrestled like Champions and lost close decisions. TJ Vallee (189) lost a tough semifinal match against the eventual Champion and ended up with 3rd. Stephen Martin (171) lost a hard fought quarterfinal match to the eventual champion but came back for a 3rd also. Billy Gauthier (135) and Tyler Russell (189) ended up with 4th place medals after close/tough semifinals matches. Zach Fields (130) placed 4th. Marcus Bubar (145) placed 5th. Several other Mainers finished one win shy of the medals. The time off between states and New Englands showed. Several of our wrestlers lost leads late in matches. Many of our wrestlers seemed hesitant, and at the New Englands: He who hesitates has lost ... again.
